IT'S NOT TOO LATE. . .

The review submission deadline for GALATEA RESURRECTS' SEVENTH issue has been extended (from August 5, 2007) to August 17, 2007.

The deadline extension results from unexpected travel plans that require me to be in a place with no internet access from Aug. 1-15. So I'd also like to request the favor that reviewers try to email me their reviews before Aug. 1 or after Aug. 15, through to the new deadline of Aug. 17, 2007. I'm trying to minimize the email backlog that's likely to accummulate in my E In-Box while I'm offline.

I've also just set a review submission deadline for the EIGHTH issue to be November 5, 2007.

Please email me at GalateaTen@aol.com if you're interested in doing a review! (But try to avoid emailing me from Aug. 1-15).

Please also see prior post for more information (note that the list of available review copies is frequently updated). Thanks for your interest!

AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW

Dear Poetry Reviewer,
If you would like to review a poetry publication for GALATEA RESURRECTS (A POETRY ENGAGEMENT), you can choose what to review from your sources or from list of review copies sent to us. All reviewing styles are acceptable; in general, I suggest that you excerpt from poems to exemplify whatever points you make in your review.

To Publishers/Authors Sending Review Copies -- I prefer to receive 2 copies of each title; but 1 copy is fine, too, if your supply is low. Send to:

GR's Review Copies Available to Interested Reviewers:

Publications (books, chaps, broadsides, journals et al) eligible for review are not just recent releases; all are available (preference given to publications still in print). So you can review, say, a book(s) from your bookshelf that you've long appreciated, or choose from below (this list is continuously updated). Note, too, that e-publications are available for review. [If you've sent a review copy and don't see it below, it may be because I've "placed" it.]

(* The titles above with asterisk on them are published by Meritage Press, which I founded/edit/publish. I thought about whether this is a conflict, but then also reconsidered to conclude: I see no reason to make the MP authors not eligible for review -- it's their words, not mine, being assessed.

** My poetry collections are not eligible for GR but I've decided to allow books that I've edited, to the extent they're primarily about the edited poets' works and not my poems.)

+ Being considered by potential reviewers, but no commitment yet (& so still available for reviews)

*****
The phrase "ASSIGNED or REVIEWED but available for more reviews" refers to how different people can read the same poem differently and so, to the extent review copies are available, I'm perfectly willing to publish more than one review of the same book.

*****
Reviewers will get "paid" with, what else but BOOKS! But don't worry -- they'd be gifts, not "review copies".
